What are Flash Sales / Extra Bakes and how does one claim a box?Flash Sales: Occasionally I like to feature specific flavors or creations. For Flash Sales, specific products will be available on a scheduled date that I share in advance via Instagram posts / story. To claim a box, please reply to the Flash Sale "IG STORY" (not POST); first come first served! If you get a notification but can not see the story anymore, that means everything sold out and I took down the Story. The Story usually will tell you what is being sold, where to pick up and what time things need to be picked up by. * BEST ADVICE will be to TURN ON notification, it's the bell on the top right corner of the profile. Turn the post, stories on and you'll get notified of any sales. Extra Bakes: Whenever I prepare orders, I always bake extra just in case. If everything goes as planned, I will have Extra Bakes that I post about on my IG STORY that day. To claim, please reply to that IG STORY the day of; first come first served!

How to pay?Currently, cash is preferred for payment. Venmo is acceptable if necessary but a fee will be added onto the final cost.

Why does it take so long to get some pastries?Right now, Spoons Patisserie is a one person company (me, Steven). I take orders, schedule pick ups, shop for ingredients, and most importantly, bake all the desserts. My current space and time constraints limit me to making about six dozen Dan Tat per day.
-
Where is Pick up / Delivery and time ?Pick up only in Visitacion Valley, San Francisco. Delivery is currently unavailable. Pick up time is usually 11am-1pm unless discussed otherwise. Please let me know beforehand when you're on your way. An exact location will be given once a confirmation has been made.

Why are the Egg Tart / Dan Tat different than normal ones ?Spoons Patisserie Dan Tats are made with a Shortbread Crust (this is different from the traditional Flakey or Cookie Crusts). It provides a delectable melt-in-your-mouth texture! Another unique characteristic is the use of different flavors to complement the natural taste of the egg tart.
-
How to store the Egg Tarts / Dan Tat and how long do they last.Egg Tart/ Dan Tat can stay out at room temperature for a maximum of two days. When refrigerated, they last about a week, but the crust will soften and the custard will begin to crack. To warm, place them in an oven preheated to 350 degree Fahrenheit and bake for 5 min or until warm. DO NOT microwave as the custard inside will explode.
-
How big are the Egg Tarts/ Dan Tat?The Egg Tarts are 3.25"wide by 1.25" tall.
-
Is everything only by the dozen?Yes, for orders, pastries are sold by the dozen. The exception is Extra Bakes (posted on @SpoonsPatisserie Instagram Stories), where extra pastries are available at different quantities.
-
What is a canelé and how big are they?A canelé is a small French pastry flavored with rum and vanilla with a soft and tender custard center and a dark, thick caramelized crust.
-
How long will canelés keep?Caneles should be eaten 3-5 hours after baking. For storage, you can keep them in the fridge for up to 5 days or in the freezer for up to a month. To reheat them, simply take them out of the freezer and put them in an oven preheated to 500 degrees Fahrenheit for 5 minutes. Let cool to room temperature then enjoy.
